Effective 1 August 2026
FRadio DZ has no accounts, no ads, and sells no data.
The app collects anonymous usage statistics and nothing else. We do not know who you are, and we are not trying to find out.
The FRadio DZ Android app (com.fethica.fradio.dz) and the fradiodz.com website. Both behave the same way and report to the same place.
Anonymous usage events only, processed by PostHog on servers located in the European Union.
| Event | What it records |
|---|---|
| Open | The app was opened |
| Play | Which station, and how long you listened |
| Search | The text you typed into search |
| Filter | Which filter you used (national, regional, favorites) |
| Playback failure | The station and error type, so dead streams can be found |
Every event carries the interface language, app version, OS version, and device type (phone, tablet, Android Auto, web).
Two more things come from the analytics tool itself:
Your favorites, language choice, and the cached station list are stored locally on your device only. They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site's data, deletes them for good.
If you write to us from the app or the site, your message reaches us by email through EmailJS. We receive what you wrote, including any email address you choose to give. These messages are used only to reply to you.
We do not sell or share your data. PostHog and EmailJS act as processors, on our behalf and on our instructions: they are not third-party recipients using the data for their own purposes. We may have to disclose information where the law requires it.
Usage events are kept in aggregate, anonymous form. Because they are attached to no identity, they cannot be traced back to you afterwards. Messages sent through the contact form stay in our mailbox for as long as the exchange is useful.
All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
FRadio DZ is a general audience app and knowingly collects nothing that identifies a child. Since there are no accounts and no personal details are requested, the app collects nothing that would distinguish a minor from an adult.
Usage statistics can be switched off remotely for everyone, and are switched off automatically in development builds. For any question about your data, write to us. Since the events are anonymous we cannot single yours out, but we will answer any question about what the app does.
This policy may change as the app changes. The effective date above marks the latest revision.
